It's always fun to stop by Shy Dam. This lake is one of the great places here in the Ozarks. Cedar Spring Hollow is close to Shy Dam and is a magnificent spot; do go to Shy Lake Dam since you're here. This place is peerless, just explore all the entertaining things to do in close proximity to Shy Dam. Take a hike on the Crane Lake Trail, and Big Creek is a splendid whitewater spot close by.
At Shy Dam during the summertime highs are in the 90's with overnight

| | lows in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Shy Dam plunge into the 10's. The high level of rainfall makes Shy Dam a reasonably wet location; March is the wettest month with most rain while January is frequently the driest month. Why not camp at Sam A Baker State Park while you're here at Shy Dam, needless to say you could also pop by Shy Lake if you're here; it's not far at | |

This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant location to camp here at Shy Dam is Big Creek RV Park, and hiking along the Johnson Natural Area Backpack Trail is brilliant fun. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things
in the Ozarks. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Crane Pond Creek, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Black Creek. So much exciting stuff
in the Ozarks, just tremendous. After a long day outdoors Farmington - Days Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Taum Sauk Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. The top of Des Arc Mountain is easily made out from Shy Dam.
