The beauty of Shy Dam attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Creek, and it's a good idea to stop at Black Creek. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll adore Shy Dam. Crane Pond Creek has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by, and Des Arc Mountain can be made out from Shy Dam. This lake is so wonderful.

| | has so much outdoors cool stuff. If you get bored of Shy Dam, you could also have a look at close by Chain of Lakes; nearby you locate the Taum Sauk Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Ozarks, not sufficient time. While staying at Shy Dam you could always discover Cedar Spring Hollow, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Johnson Natural Area Backpack Trail. The Ozarks
scenery is always beautiful. The Crane Lake Trail is a brilliant hiking trail near Shy Dam, and after a long day outdoors Bluffview Motel & Restaurant is a tremendous location to spend a night or two.

summer days at Shy Dam highs are frequently in the 90's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and night lows through the wintertime for Shy Dam tend to be in the 10's.
