There's no way someone can get bored here in the Ozarks. While you're here at Shy Dam, you could also stop at wonderful Chain of Lakes; you could always look at Cedar Spring Hollow. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Creek; don't leave Shy Dam without first       going for a hike along the Taum Sauk Trail. Shy Dam gets a large amount of water; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is when it's the driest. And that's not all you can do here at Shy Dam. If you come at the right time of year, Crane Pond Creek offers some wonderful whitewater; the scenery at Shy Lake Dam is striking. Shy Lake 2 is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and from Shy Dam you obtain a perfect sight of Des                  Arc Mountain. Yep, outdoors amusing things truly is bountiful here in the Ozarks. There are splendid places to look at along the Crane Lake Trail; if you need a site to stay Days Inn Farmington is a splendid choice. Shy Dam is one of the lakes here in the Ozarks.
