Missouri has many beautiful lakes and Shepherd Mountain Lake is one of them. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting things the area near Shepherd Mountain Lake has to offer. A wonderful nearby hotel is Log Cabin Inn; lots of folks from Farmington come here. This lake is so wonderful. At Shepherd Mountain Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the

| | wintertime are in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Shepherd Mountain Lake during the wintertime frequently sink into the 20's.
There are tremendous places to look at along the Silver Mine Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Stouts Creek offers some great whitewater. This lake is located in the wonderful Ozarks. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Ozarks. Going for a hike on the Crane Lake Trail is always a nice adventure; there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Carver Creek. All the outdoors cool
stuff in the Ozarks will keep you coming back many times. Buckner Branch is a good local stream; a round of golf at nearby Arcadia Valley Country Club is a nice way to kill some time. Near Shepherd Mountain Lake you locate the Taum
Sauk Trail which is a great hiking trail, and you can observe College Hill from Shepherd Mountain Lake.
Shepherd Mountain Lake is a good place of normal rainfall; the month with most of the rain is March, and January on the other hand is the driest.
