Camping at Bayview Campers Park is always a fine experience, and a lake nearby is Big Lake. Swamps don’t sound that brilliant but Crooked Slough close to Shanty Bend Pond is reasonably brilliant, and people from Quincy love to come here. Dry warm       beds await you at Microtel Quincy, and if you came to camp Valley View Mobile Home Park is a great spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Cedar Creek offers some great whitewater; why not stop at close by Fabius River since you're here at Shanty Bend Pond. During the summertime months highs here at Shanty Bend Pond reach the 80's with night lows in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight                  lows at Shanty Bend Pond during the winter regularly plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on North River. So much amusing stuff to do at Shanty Bend Pond, so little time. Quincy - Days Inn is a good place to get some rest, and Horseshoe Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out.
