Slabtown Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and Roby Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Paddy Creek Campground is a perfect local campground. While you're here at Roby Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Fort Leonard Wood, and hiking along the Slabtown Bluff Trail is wonderful fun. The high level of precipitation makes Roby Lake a reasonably wet spot; the month with most of the       rain is May; the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. Roby Lake is right by the Paddy Creek Trail, and Econo Lodge St. Robert is a delightful spot to get some rest. At Roby Lake all through the long summer days highs are in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 40's with temperatures at Roby Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. What a place this is for outdoors                  folks. A lake nearby is Dairy Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Big Piney Trail. That right there is loads of amusing things already but it goes on, the Ozarks has it all. Camping at Big Piney Campground is always a brilliant experience; if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express St. Robert/Ft. Leonardwood, Mo is a great choice.
