Pine Lake is a beautiful lake in the Ozarks. For the duration of the months of summer here at Pine Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Pine Lake. So many cool things to do here in the Ozarks, too perfect to be true. A lake nearby is Steeger Lake, and you can take a little trip to Pine Lake Dam if you're here at Pine Lake. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by Sugar Creek Country Club, and there are plenty of folks from St. Louis here at Pine Lake. A brilliant close by hotel is Staybridge Suites OFALLON CHESTERFIELD; you can stay the night at St. Louis South RV Park. All year is a tremendous time
in the Ozarks if you love the outdoors. A common amount of rain falls here at Pine Lake; the month with most of the rain is May while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

Lake Wauwanoka is not NEAR the Ozarks. It's a half-hour outside St. Louis and a good three t four hours from the Ozarks....We live in DeSoto, Mo. and would love to sail Lake Wauwanoka. Would that be possible?...My first memory visiting the lake was in 1956 at the age of five. Along with my parents and five other siblings we stayed with my grandmother in her small cottage. My father was put to work on home improvements and all of us were given small chores to help fix the cottage where she resided. Cousins, aunts and uncles would come out for a visit. Over the years to follow the lake sponsored summer events. July 4th, everyone decorated their canoes and pontoons. Our pontoon was decorated in a hawaiian theme. My cousins and I made grass skirts from the weeds that grew around the lake. Oh, did we itch but we won first place. Of all the memories of my summer visits one of my greatest was the box turtle that visited every morning for strawberries my grandmother gave him. She named him Joe. She painted a red streak on his back to identify him. Each year she would touch up the paint. For the next twenty years I visited, so did Joe.... |

All bass good seemingly hitting everything; Sunfish and Bluegill are good on live bait w/bobber combo; Catfish are fair on liver and goldfish; Crappie slow....
It's starting to heat up at the lake. I caught this one on a cricket with a bobber, about 5 feet in depth.... |
