A great close by hotel is Knights Inn Trenton, and there are some glorious whitewater spots on South Fabius River. For the duration of the warmest time of the year here at Parr Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's while Parr Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A charming lake like Constable

...ndchildren to enjoy true nature at it's finest with mature trees standing, the next a large spacious home with pristine groomed yard, the next with a mobile home and wrap around porch. We came here from southwestern Florida where every house in a community was painted the same color and had basically all the same ammenities. Also we love having Crowder State Park next door to us. It is one of the most beautiful state parks we have ever been to. And a great place to spend the day hiking, picnicing and biking. Then in a few minutes you can be in the largest Amish community in the country. We have been to the Amish cafe buffet and bakery several times and shopped at the reduced grocery deli and the savings is well worth the trip. Having organic vegetables and fruits and home made jelly and jam is a big plus. We have stocked up for the month and saved alot of money while getting excellent quality cheeses and homemade candies and preserves. Without paying the high prices you find at Health Food Stores.
