Parole Lake is a good spot of typical rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May; the driest of the months is January. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Ozarks. Parole Lake is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, Hazel Creek Campground is a splendid spot to camp nearby, and swing by Little Hazel Creek it's a perfect place to take a look at. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Ozarks.

There are other locations here than Parole Lake, for example Palmer Lake; you can stay the night at Wild Boar Ridge Campground. During the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Parole Lake with night lows in the 60's. here in the Ozarks. The Trace Creek Trail is a brilliant hiking trail in the vicinity of Parole Lake, and if you need a location to stay Comfort Inn Sullivan is a glorious choice. Parole Mine Dam is an exciting thing to check out, and close by you hit upon the Berryman Trail which is a great hiking trail.

 | Good luck, I have been fishing here for years and I have yet to see anyone but me and a few buddies catch anything. Most of the people that hang out here are a bucnch drunks and are here to party. If you take your time and learn the lake you can catch alot of bass and as many redear you can eat. Just stay away from the local drunks.... |

 | 18 miles away why drain a national park's lake? this is all we have up here and now there is little left! STOP the draining of our lake! there are animals dieing because of it! there was also more money spent here in north dakota when the lake was a lot fuller. come look and see what damage your stupid missouri is costing at the lake! i go there every year and more and more water is gone for what? notheing! now that there is not a lot of water left people have to find a a different place to go. they cant even keep there boats at fort stevenson because it is BONE DRY! missouri, you need to close down your falls because there is more money made here and it not fair that a NATIONAL PARK Can Not survive because of you!! there should be no reason why a NAtional park should close. also the lake was here before your stupid idea even came around. there for it is our right to protect what we have:our future,homes, and last but not least, our lake and population.... |

 | 18 miles away Cat fish like crazy after the spring stocking. bigg fish too.... only drawback is it is a pay lake and expensive.$$$ $3 to get in and $2.00/lb of fish you catch... no catch and release either... come prepared top catch um.... and pay.... |
