Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Ozarks is peerless! Parker Lake Number 2 is a glorious place to camp, Perryville/Cape Girardeau KOA is a glorious place, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Colonial Inn. A wonderful spot close to Parker Lake Number 2 is Anderson Hollow, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Castor River. What a place this is for outdoors folks.       In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pickle Creek. Parker Lake Number 2 is a good site of common rain; most of the rain falls through March; the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. You'll discover a lovely lake called Lake Perry near Parker Lake Number 2; after a long day outdoors Travelodge Perryville is a fine spot to spend a night or two. During the months of summer highs here at Parker Lake                  Number 2 get into the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Parker Lake Number 2 temperatures fall to the 10's. There's delightful hiking along the John J Audubon Trail, and do stop by Port Perry Dam while you're here.
