During the summer at Packwood Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 30's; nighttime lows at Packwood Lake through the winter ordinarily descend into the 10's. Haw Branch is a delightful local stream, and Sandman Motel is a tremendous spot to get some rest. A pleasant close by hotel is Marigolds Inn & Gift Shop, and you don’t have to go far from       Packwood Lake to catch a sight of the water at Johnson Land Development Lake Dam. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in close proximity to Packwood Lake will keep you coming back persistently. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a good close by course is Daviess County Country Club; if you've had enough of Packwood Lake, Johnson Lake is close by.
