High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Murphy Pond dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express MARSHFIELD (SPRINGFIELD AREA), and a lake nearby is Trowbridge Lake. Much rain falls at Murphy Pond; May is the wettest month       with most rain while January is typically the driest month. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Ozarks. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel- Stafford/Springfield Area is a good choice; why not camp at Beaver Canoe Rental & Campgrounds while you're here at Murphy Pond. This lake is one of the great places here in the Ozarks.
