You can run the rapids of Black River next to Mountain Lake, naturally you could       also have a look at Sunrise Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Big Creek for all you thrill seekers, and splendid water scenery is available at Mountain Lake Dam in the vicinity of Mountain Lake. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Poplar Bluff Missouri is a brilliant location to spend a night or two, and if you've had enough of Mountain Lake, Collins Lake is nearby. These mountains rock, just explore                  all the exciting things to do in the Ozarks. Going for a hike on the Crane Lake Trail is always a delightful adventure; at Mountain Lake you can distinguish Daffron Mountain. All the water falling down from the sky makes Mountain Lake a wet place; through December this area sees the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Mountain Lake. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Mountain Lake.
