This lake is so wonderful. This is a nice region for people who like lakes. Loutre Valley Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and Milzark Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Lazy Day Campground is a great spot to camp nearby. are normally in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Milzark Lake. If you need a place to stay Americas Best Inns-New Florence is a good choice, and Cole Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking
a look at.
Milzark Lake is one of the lakes here in the Ozarks. From a rainfall point of view Milzark Lake is a reasonably typical site; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is January.

...nother camper came in that was staying for 4 years and for whom this lot was better suited with multi-level cement areas and flower beds.
Lot 34 was a gravel pull through which was level and just fine. All lots have picnic tables and burn rings.
The owners, Kathy & Drew, were very helpful to us and very nice and accommodating. They plan family events for the campers and have a nice little store area for essentials. Just before we left, they were going to begin having homemade muffins and to-die-for cinnamon rolls at the store.
It is very dog friendly which is important to us.
The wi-fi works well and has an excellent signal.
The campground is easy to locate from I-70 Danville Exit and is quiet and has nice grounds including trails through the woods for hiking and enjoying nature. The swimming pool was closed for the winter as the weather was cool while we were there, so I didn't use the pool.
We did not use the bathrooms, showers or laundry facilities while there, though they do have them.
