McDaniel Lake is a beautiful lake in the Ozarks. Summertime highs at McDaniel Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 90's while night lows are mostly in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; nighttime lows in the 10's for McDaniel Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Poplar Bluff; not far from McDaniel Lake you get some good water scenery at W L and Mary Hays South Dam.

| | McDaniel Lake, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Johnson Natural Area Backpack Trail. You definitely must love the Ozarks. Camping is available at Davis Camp, and do take a hike on the Lost Creek Nature Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Black River is a great whitewater spot in the neighborhood of McDaniel Lake.

Pine Ridge Nature Trail, and as expected, this is a good neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Garver Lake is a lake in close proximity. McDaniel Lake usually gets a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls through March while
January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting things to do in the Ozarks. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Crum Lake, and if
you came for an overnight stay Camelot RV Campground is a nice place to camp.
After a long day outdoors Super 8 Poplar Bluff Missouri is a good site to spend a night or two; some of the water nearby flows, like Asher Creek.
