Near McCormick Lake you locate the Crane Lake Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Big Creek. So many entertaining things to do at McCormick Lake, so little time. Going for a hike on the Lost Creek Nature Trail is always a delightful adventure, and dry warm beds await you at Longhorn Motel. The Ozarks scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. There is       a brilliant hiking trail in the neighborhood of McCormick Lake called the Johnson Natural Area Backpack Trail, and McCormick Lake is not the only spot close by, Little Hawaiis Lake is a close by lake. Yeah, come up here to the Ozarks for a pleasant time. After a long day outdoors Bluffview Motel & Restaurant is a fine place to spend a night or two; a perfect place for whitewater paddling is St. Francis River.
