McCormick Lake is a beautiful lake in the Ozarks. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling next to McCormick Lake is St. Francis River, and don't forget to take a brilliant little tour to Camp Creek. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Ozarks. McCormick Lake is not the only location nearby, Little Hawaiis Lake is a nearby lake, and you can run the rapids of Big Creek.       This lake is so wonderful. McCormick Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Holliday Landing Resort is a great place to camp nearby; McCormick Lake is right by the Johnson Natural Area Backpack Trail. For the period of the days of summer here at McCormick Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 90's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and night lows at McCormick Lake during                  the wintertime generally sink into the 10's. McCormick Lake is a reasonably wet place generally with a good deal of rain; December is the wettest month with most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll adore McCormick Lake. Take a hike on the Crane Lake Trail, and after a long day outdoors SUPER 8 MOTEL - POPLAR BLUFF is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. Sam A Baker State Park is a fine local campground, and Little Hawaiis Lake Dam is beautiful. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Ozarks.
