The high level of rain makes Maury Pond a relatively wet site; most of the rain falls throughout November; the driest of the months is January. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Black River - East Fork. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Ozarks rules! All our national parks are nice spots to take a look at, and Ozark National Scenic River       is no exception. There's so much to do here at Maury Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Big Springs River Camp is a good place for that. Throughout the days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Maury Pond, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's; night lows at Maury Pond during the winter commonly plunge into the 20's. After a long day outdoors Black River                  Family Restaurant is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Maury Pond has to offer, you can camp at Powder Mill Campground. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid place in the vicinity of Maury Pond is Buzzard Hollow; Scenic Rivers Motel is a good location to get some rest.
