Marks Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Hickory Haven Campground is a pleasant local campground. Fairfield Inn Keokuk is a tremendous location to get some rest, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Cedar Creek. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Marks Lake. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's       ordinarily in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's; nighttime lows at Marks Lake during the wintertime generally fall into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful lake like Uhlmeyer Lake in the vicinity of Marks Lake is a magnificent place to stop at, and if you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Canton is a good choice. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Marks Lake; through July this area sees the most rain; the driest month                  of the year is February.
