During the warm days of summer, highs mostly are in the 90's at Markham Springs Reservoir while night lows are typically in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's with temperatures at Markham Springs Reservoir dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. This lake is located in the wonderful Ozarks. This location, the Ozarks, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Markham Spring Pond is a       nearby lake that you could go to, and there's some flowing water nearby, Brushy Creek is a stream you can stop by while you're here. The high level of rainfall makes Markham Springs Reservoir a rather wet site; all through December this area sees the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. A good close by hotel is SUPER 8 MOTEL - POPLAR BLUFF; you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Johnson Natural Area Backpack Trail. Stay the night at                  Sam A Baker State Park; a great location to visit is Bull Run Hollow. So many entertaining things to do in the Ozarks, not sufficient time. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn POPLAR BLUFF is a brilliant location to spend a night or two, and Markham Springs Dam is pretty. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Black River in a kayak, and if you get bored of Markham Springs Reservoir you could also pop by close by Upalika Pond. Going for a hike along the Lost Creek Nature Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. Holliday Landing Resort is a nice campground nearby; get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Creek. Just can't get enough of Markham Springs Reservoir.
