Do go to Lightfoot Lake close to Lyons Lake, it's a pretty lake, and some of the water close by flows, like Callaway Branch. Lyons Lake gets a common amount of rainfall; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Near Lyons Lake you discover the Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge Habitat Trail which is a delightful hiking trail, and a charming lake like Downing Lake is a great place

Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lyons Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lyons Lake are in the 10's. The scenery at Lyons Lake Dam in the vicinity of Lyons Lake is beautiful; Best Western Brookfield is a good location to get some rest. | |
