Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lower Reservoir. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 40's; night lows at Lower Reservoir during the winter mostly fall into the 20's. The view of Lee Mountain from Lower Reservoir is striking, and don't leave Lower Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Taum Sauk Trail. This lake       is one of the great places here in the Ozarks. You absolutely must like Lower Reservoir. Good hiking is available along the Crane Lake Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Black River - East Fork offers some tremendous whitewater. You can take a little visit to Taum Sauk Lower Dam while you're here at Lower Reservoir, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Taum Sauk Creek. Having a pleasant time in the Ozarks is uncomplicated. Nearby lakes?                  Sure, Lower Pool is right next door to Lower Reservoir, and if you came for an overnight stay Wild Boar Ridge Campground is a splendid place to camp. Lower Reservoir is a reasonably wet place commonly with lots of rainfall; November is the month that gets the most rain while January is generally the driest month. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Ozarks. Potosi Super 8 Motel is a delightful place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
