Loutre Valley Lake is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Lazy Day Campground is a pleasant place to camp nearby; as expected Pinch Creek flows through this area. Loutre Valley Dam is a stunning place in the vicinity of Loutre Valley Lake, and if you need a place to stay Americas Best Inns-New Florence is a wonderful choice. The Ozarks scenery is always beautiful.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Loutre Valley Lake.

| | Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Loutre Valley Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Kan-Do Kampground and RV Park; Delgman Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. Loutre Valley Lake gets a typical amount of rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is January. And that's not all there is to do here

...ave a 40 ft 5th wheel tri axle using 50 amp service with full hookups.
Lot 1 was cement and very level. We agreed to change lots when another camper came in that was staying for 4 years and for whom this lot was better suited with multi-level cement areas and flower beds.
Lot 34 was a gravel pull through which was level and just fine. All lots have picnic tables and burn rings.
The owners, Kathy & Drew, were very helpful to us and very nice and accommodating. They plan family events for the campers and have a nice little store area for essentials. Just before we left, they were going to begin having homemade muffins and to-die-for cinnamon rolls at the store.
It is very dog friendly which is important to us.
The wi-fi works well and has an excellent signal.
The campground is easy to locate from I-70 Danville Exit and is quiet and has nice grounds including trails through the woods for hiking and enjoying nature. The swimming pool was closed for the winter as the weather was cool while we were there, so I didn't use the pool.
