Fairfield Inn Keokuk is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and Baxter Lake Dam is pretty. Near Long Pond you discover the Locust Lane Nature Trail       which is a great hiking trail, and if you get bored of Long Pond you could also visit nearby Round Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Long Pond is a good place of normal rain; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February. This place, Long Pond, it completely has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Whitewater paddling is great on Cedar Creek, and you're sure to stumble upon some good people from Quincy here. This lake is so wonderful.                  Camping is available at Hickory Haven Campground, and a lake close by is Baxter Ponds. At Long Pond during the summer highs are in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
