If you need a site to stay Americas Best Inns-New Florence is a good choice, and lakes are such calm places, why not visit Nestor and Literman Lake. At Lone Rock Lake during the days of summer highs are in the 80's, and the overnight is rather colder of course, regularly in the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lone Rock Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Kan-Do Kampground and RV Park is a pleasant campground

| | nearby, and you'll discover a lovely lake called Ki-Wi Lake. Lone Rock Lake in fact is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise.
The annual rainfall here at Lone Rock Lake is about average; May is when you get the most rain here; January on the other hand is the driest. ...or whom this lot was better suited with multi-level cement areas and flower beds.
Lot 34 was a gravel pull through which was level and just fine. All lots have picnic tables and burn rings.
The owners, Kathy & Drew, were very helpful to us and very nice and accommodating. They plan family events for the campers and have a nice little store area for essentials. Just before we left, they were going to begin having homemade muffins and to-die-for cinnamon rolls at the store.
It is very dog friendly which is important to us.
The wi-fi works well and has an excellent signal.
The campground is easy to locate from I-70 Danville Exit and is quiet and has nice grounds including trails through the woods for hiking and enjoying nature. The swimming pool was closed for the winter as the weather was cool while we were there, so I didn't use the pool.
We did not use the bathrooms, showers or laundry facilities while there, though they do have them.
We would definitely stay there again and in fact do plan to stay there when going through the area in ... |
