Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Little Prairie Lake. Drury Inn Rolla is a glorious location to get some rest, and do have a look at Little Prairie Dam if you're here. Woods Spring is always fun to check out, and a charming lake like Amos Lake is a great site to stop by. Little Prairie Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; the wettest month of the year is regularly May, that's the one that rains the most;

| | January is when it's the driest. That right there is lots of amusing things already but it goes on, the Ozarks has it all. Camping at Camp Brim Shire is always a magnificent experience; hiking along the Blossom Rock Trail is good fun. While you're here at Little Prairie Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Rolla, and a fine close by hotel is Days Inn And Suites St James. This lake is so wonderful. enjoy all the amusing things in the Ozarks. Little Prairie Lake is right by the Cedar Bluff Trail, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Kaintuck Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Blue Moon
RV Park and Horse Motel, and you'll discover a pretty lake called I-38 Lake. Through the days of summer at Little Prairie Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's. Highs throughout
the wintertime are generally in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Little Prairie Lake. The Ozarks scenery is always beautiful.

Kaintuck Trail
 | 18 miles away ...l bridge located on this trail is one of the largest I have ever seen. From the top, you will not know that you are on a bridge. From the bottom it looks like a large, deep cave through which light doesn't travel because of a bend in the tunnel. Follow the trail around the hill and you will find the other opening. Next time I will bring a flashlight so that I can explore a little.
The trails are popular with horseback riders and are as wide as sidewalks most of the time. In most places and the footing is good. A small percentage of the trail is made up of loose rock that can be bad for a weak ankle.
My only complaint is that the map I have is not accurate and the markers on the trees don't lend much confidence. Today I wound up walking an extra two hours because of a wrong turn. Looking at the Internet maps, I still can't find the path I was walking or the fenced meadows. In one spot the trail went through a chained gate. I didn't know if I would be trespassing so I turned right, followed a path around the field and found myself on some dirt road that is not m... |
