Liguori Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. The Ozarks scenery is always beautiful. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Liguori Lake. The slopes of Hidden Valley are so inviting nobody can resist, and Comfort Inn Arnold is a delightful location to get some rest. Yeah, come up here to the Ozarks for a nice time. Be careful coming to the Ozarks, you might not ever want to return home again. Here at Liguori Lake you'll most likely meet some folks from St. Louis. During the summer at Liguori Lake highs are mostly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place
to stay Pevely Super 8 is a wonderful choice, and not far from Liguori Lake you acquire some great water scenery at Francois Lake Dam. Stay the night at St. Louis South RV Park, and close by you find nice locations like Moss Hollow.
The amount of rain that falls at Liguori Lake is close to the national average; May is when you get the most rain here, and January on the other hand is the driest.

Lake Wauwanoka is not NEAR the Ozarks. It's a half-hour outside St. Louis and a good three t four hours from the Ozarks....We live in DeSoto, Mo. and would love to sail Lake Wauwanoka. Would that be possible?...My first memory visiting the lake was in 1956 at the age of five. Along with my parents and five other siblings we stayed with my grandmother in her small cottage. My father was put to work on home improvements and all of us were given small chores to help fix the cottage where she resided. Cousins, aunts and uncles would come out for a visit. Over the years to follow the lake sponsored summer events. July 4th, everyone decorated their canoes and pontoons. Our pontoon was decorated in a hawaiian theme. My cousins and I made grass skirts from the weeds that grew around the lake. Oh, did we itch but we won first place. Of all the memories of my summer visits one of my greatest was the box turtle that visited every morning for strawberries my grandmother gave him. She named him Joe. She painted a red streak on his back to identify him. Each year she would touch up the paint. For the next twenty years I visited, so did Joe.... |
