Also we love having Crowder State Park next door to us. It is one of the most beautiful state parks we have ever been to. And a great place to spend the day hiking, picnicing and biking. Then in a few minutes you can be in the largest Amish community in the country. We have been to the Amish cafe buffet and bakery several times and shopped at the reduced grocery deli and the savings is well worth the trip. Having organic vegetables and fruits and home made jelly and jam is a big plus. We have stocked up for the month and saved alot of money while getting excellent quality cheeses and homemade candies and preserves. Without paying the high prices you find at Health Food Stores. Leisure Lakes is also located from The University of Graceland and the North Central Missouri College which motivated us to buy at the Lake since my husband attends there.
