Lakes are such peaceful places, why not pop by Huston Lake right next door to Lake Waukomis, and if you came to camp Woodland Acres is a great place to do that. You don’t have to go far from Lake Waukomis to distinguish the water at Lake Waukomis Dam, and Lake Waukomis is good enough to spend more than a day at, Basswood Country Resort is a good local campground. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Lake Waukomis dip into the 10's. There are other spots here than Lake Waukomis, for example Drennon Lake; drift down the rapids of Blue River in a kayak.

i agree with this at regular water. but on the other hand after good rain this section, for the area, is the best around.class 2 to 3,4 easy.the senery is the best for the area when it comes to wildlife give that your only 5 minutes from the big city life... |
