If you like lakes and you're in this part of Missouri you can check out Lake Wappapello. Lake Wappapello generally gets a large amount of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Throughout the summertime at Lake Wappapello highs are usually in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime

| | lows throughout the winter for Lake Wappapello tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side visit to Mill Creek, and if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn POPLAR BLUFF is a good choice.

do next to Lake Wappapello. The scenery at Wappapello Dam close to Lake Wappapello is beautiful, and Lake Wappapello is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Bullwinkle's Rustic Lodge and RV Park is a pleasant local campground.
So much amusing stuff to do in the Ozarks, not enough time. There is a wonderful hiking trail near Lake Wappapello called the Boardwalk Nature Trail. There's so much to do here at Lake Wappapello that you need to camp here for a while,
Davis Camp is a perfect place for that.
One of the principal features of the surroundings of Lake Wappapello is Butter Shell Hill; on a good day you can take a hike along the Lost Creek Nature Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
You're sure to run into some friendly folks from Poplar Bluff here. While you're here at Lake Wappapello you can take a hike along the Pine Ridge Nature Trail, and you are in the neighborhood of Davis Point if you're here.
The Ozarks scenery is always beautiful.
