You're probably addicted to lakes, Buhl Lake is one of those nearby; a tremendous nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Six Flags St. Louis. McFall Creek is in close proximity to Lake Tekakwitha and is always a delight to go to, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Hidden Valley is rather near.
