Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Ozarks. Camping is available at Perryville/Cape Girardeau KOA, and after a long day outdoors Microtel Inn and Suites Sainte Genevieve is a good spot to spend a night or two. This place is great, just look at all the cool stuff to do near Lake Perry. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Lake Perry reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down       to the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Lake Perry sink into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Port Perry Dam has nice water scenery and it's right next door to Lake Perry, and Comfort Inn Perryville is a good spot to get some rest. A fine spot to camp here at Lake Perry is K O A Kampgrounds; whitewater paddling is nice on Castor River. Get wet paddling                  on Pickle Creek, and glorious hiking is available along the John J Audubon Trail. Lake Perry gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
