Lake Lavista gets a normal amount of rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Hinkson Creek, and while you're here, you could also go to beautiful Number 153 Reservoir. A perfect site to camp here at Lake       Lavista is Pine Grove Village MHP; after a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn & Suites Columbia is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. Camping is available at Cottonwoods RV Park; since you're here and you like golf, you can have a look at Lake of the Woods Golf Course. Going for a hike along the Cedar Creek Hiking Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and getting to Bone Branch from Lake Lavista is trouble-free. This lake                  is so wonderful. That right there is lots already, but it carries on; Lake Lavista has it all.
