Having a wonderful time in the Ozarks is painless. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Hidden Valley. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Lake George, you could also explore close by Ware Lake, and Lake George is good enough to spend more than a day at, Lazy Acres Camp Ground & Rntl is a good local campground. For the duration of the summertime highs here at Lake George reach the 80's, and the overnight is slightly chillier

Lake George is a good site of common rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn Near Six Flags St. Louis is a good site to spend a night or two, and camping at Yogi Bear's Jellystone | |

Camp is always a great experience. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Lake George. If you're here, you might as well pop by Grinnin Hollow, and a quick journey to Bethlehem Creek is unquestionably a wonderful idea.
Lake George is a beautiful lake in the Ozarks. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Near Six Flags St. Louis, and Lake George Dam is not far at all from Lake George. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff
the Ozarks has to offer. A lake nearby is Pine Ford Lake, and if you're here you can play some golf at Raintree Country Club.

Lake Wauwanoka is not NEAR the Ozarks. It's a half-hour outside St. Louis and a good three t four hours from the Ozarks....We live in DeSoto, Mo. and would love to sail Lake Wauwanoka. Would that be possible?...My first memory visiting the lake was in 1956 at the age of five. Along with my parents and five other siblings we stayed with my grandmother in her small cottage. My father was put to work on home improvements and all of us were given small chores to help fix the cottage where she resided. Cousins, aunts and uncles would come out for a visit. Over the years to follow the lake sponsored summer events. July 4th, everyone decorated their canoes and pontoons. Our pontoon was decorated in a hawaiian theme. My cousins and I made grass skirts from the weeds that grew around the lake. Oh, did we itch but we won first place. Of all the memories of my summer visits one of my greatest was the box turtle that visited every morning for strawberries my grandmother gave him. She named him Joe. She painted a red streak on his back to identify him. Each year she would touch up the paint. For the next twenty years I visited, so did Joe.... |
