The high level of rainfall makes Lake Armistead a relatively wet location; most of the rain falls during May, and January meanwhile is the driest month. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Lake Armistead. Armistead Dam is worth going to while you're here. Lakes? Sure, Alexander Farms Lake is close at hand. Dry warm beds await you at Home Towne Suites; Richland Lake is a glorious lake nearby.       Why not take a refreshing hike along the Cole Creek Horse Trail, and camping at Glen Oaks RV Park is always a good experience. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Lake Armistead. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Lake Armistead fall into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
