Klontz Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Birds Nest Lodge is a fine local campground, and you're perhaps addicted to lakes, Matthews Lake is one of those close by. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Going for a hike along the Berryman Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. For the duration of the summertime, highs commonly are in the 80's at Klontz Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down

| | into the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Klontz Lake.
Klontz Lake Dam has perfect water scenery and it's close to Klontz Lake; if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Meramec River. A normal amount of rain falls here at Klontz Lake; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January. Klontz Lake is one of the lakes here in the Ozarks.

Tea Lakes is a 210 acre conservation area located 6 1/2 miles south of Rosebud, Mo. on Highway T. You may visit the area during the day and talk to David Jordan the area caretaker. There are 5 fishing lakes, primitive campsites, playground, MO. Native/Plants of Merit garden recognized by the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis, Mo., boy and girl scout camping areas, shelters for picnics and gatherings. There are several hiking trails, however, we are in the process of remapping these trails and some will not be usable for the summer. This is a small organization and a small membership fee is required in order to use the facilities after the initial trial/camp/visit. We welcome anyone who is conservation minded, wants a place to visit away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just enjoys the great outdoors.
