The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Johnsons Lake. Johnsons Lake Dam is lovely and it's near Johnsons Lake, and Johnsons Lake is not the only site nearby, Joe Hendley Lake is a nearby lake. Johnsons Lake is located in the Ozarks. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for       an overnight stay Whippoorwill Lake is a perfect spot to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn-Dexter. Just can't get enough of Johnsons Lake. Barks Plantation is a brilliant campground nearby. Be careful coming to the Ozarks, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Hiking along the Boardwalk Nature Trail is nice fun, and at Johnsons Lake you always meet someone from Sikeston. All the water falling down from the sky makes Johnsons                  Lake a wet spot; through the month of March you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is January.
