     Knittel Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out; not far from Jack Knittle Lake you'll come across E R Hooks Lake which is a pretty lake. Camping at Red Maples Mobile Home Comminity is always a wonderful experience, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Eugene Hooks Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little spree to Bragg Branch if you're here at Jack Knittle Lake, and if you need a site to stay Days Inn  
   Kingdom City is a good choice. During your visit to Jack Knittle Lake you'll meet some people from Mexico for sure; a fine place to camp here at Jack Knittle Lake is Lazy Day Campground.
Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Jack Knittle Lake. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Kingdom City is a good spot to spend a night or two. Throughout the summertime highs here at Jack Knittle Lake reach the 80's. When the night

Lot 1 was cement and very level. We agreed to change lots when another camper came in that was staying for 4 years and for whom this lot was better suited with multi-level cement areas and flower beds.

Lot 34 was a gravel pull through which was level and just fine. All lots have picnic tables and burn rings.

The owners, Kathy & Drew, were very helpful to us and very nice and accommodating. They plan family events for the campers and have a nice little store area for essentials. Just before we left, they were going to begin having homemade muffins and to-die-for cinnamon rolls at the store.

It is very dog friendly which is important to us.

The wi-fi works well and has an excellent signal.

The campground is easy to locate from I-70 Danville Exit and is quiet and has nice grounds including trails through the woods for hiking and enjoying nature. The swimming pool was closed for the winter as the weather was cool while we were there, so I didn't use the pool.

We did not use the bathrooms, showers or laundry facil...
