Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Meramec River, and if you came for an overnight stay Birds Nest Lodge is a brilliant spot to camp. Be careful coming to J Bristow Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. Camping is available at Rafting Co Camping-Rv Resort,
and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Cuba is a splendid spot to spend a night or two. So much entertaining stuff in the Ozarks, just phenomenal. J Bristow Lake Dam is not far at all from J Bristow Lake; Seidl Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at.

Tea Lakes is a 210 acre conservation area located 6 1/2 miles south of Rosebud, Mo. on Highway T. You may visit the area during the day and talk to David Jordan the area caretaker. There are 5 fishing lakes, primitive campsites, playground, MO. Native/Plants of Merit garden recognized by the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis, Mo., boy and girl scout camping areas, shelters for picnics and gatherings. There are several hiking trails, however, we are in the process of remapping these trails and some will not be usable for the summer. This is a small organization and a small membership fee is required in order to use the facilities after the initial trial/camp/visit. We welcome anyone who is conservation minded, wants a place to visit away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just enjoys the great outdoors.
