     From a rainfall point of view J Bristow Lake is a reasonably common spot; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; the driest month is January. For the period of the summer at J Bristow Lake highs are mostly in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. Through the winter highs are regularly in the 40's; overnight lows throughout the wintertime for J Bristow Lake tend to be in the 10's. J Bristow Lake is located in  
   the Ozarks.
Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Ozarks. Yadkin Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Big Spring. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Meramec River, and if you came for an overnight stay Birds Nest Lodge is a brilliant spot to camp. This lake is so wonderful. A great close by hotel is Holiday Inn
 
               Express CUBA; if you get bored of J Bristow Lake you could also stop at nearby Smith Lake.
Be careful coming to J Bristow Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. Camping is available at Rafting Co Camping-Rv Resort, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Cuba is a splendid spot to spend a night or two. So much entertaining stuff in the Ozarks, just phenomenal. J Bristow Lake Dam is not far at all from J Bristow Lake; Seidl Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at.

Tea Lakes is a 210 acre conservation area located 6 1/2 miles south of Rosebud, Mo. on Highway T. You may visit the area during the day and talk to David Jordan the area caretaker. There are 5 fishing lakes, primitive campsites, playground, MO. Native/Plants of Merit garden recognized by the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis, Mo., boy and girl scout camping areas, shelters for picnics and gatherings. There are several hiking trails, however, we are in the process of remapping these trails and some will not be usable for the summer. This is a small organization and a small membership fee is required in order to use the facilities after the initial trial/camp/visit. We welcome anyone who is conservation minded, wants a place to visit away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just enjoys the great outdoors.
