If you get bored of Hunt Lake, you could also go to close by Little Leech Lake, and Hunt Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Cooper's Landing Campground is a fine local campground. Dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn AND Suites Columbia. From a rain point of view Hunt Lake is a reasonably typical place; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest       month of the year is January. If you're a golfer then a fine close by course is L A Nickell Golf Course, and a quick visit to Sugar Branch is undeniably a nice idea. Man, is there heaps of fun stuff to do near Hunt Lake. Baymont Inn & Suites Columbia is a delightful site to get some rest; a great location to camp here at Hunt Lake is Cottonwoods RV Park. High temperatures at Hunt Lake during the summertime months are in the 80's, and the night is somewhat                  chillier of course, typically in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Hunt Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Coats Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out, and lots of folks from Columbia come here.
