You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Ozarks has to offer. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Howell Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Howell Lake. Howell Lake is a good site of typical rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and January       on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant place to camp here at Howell Lake is Wild Boar Ridge Campground; the Berryman Trail offers hiking at its best. Camping at Hazel Creek Campground is always a wonderful experience, and there are other places here than Howell Lake, for example Palmer Lake. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Ozarks is so good! Getting to Compton Branch from Howell Lake is easy, and a                  wonderful nearby hotel is Potosi Super 8 Motel. Be careful coming to Howell Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. Howell Mine Dam is a beautiful location in close proximity to Howell Lake; Comfort Inn Sullivan is a wonderful place to get some rest. The Ozarks scenery is always beautiful.
