Horseshoe Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Campus Rv Park is a great local campground; Horseshoe Lake is not far at all from Kansas City. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Looking for some flowing water? Try Camp Creek, and there's whitewater on Blue River for all you adrenaline people. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood       you can always stop by close by Blue Springs Lake; golf can be played at Drumm Farm Golf Club. Throughout the warm days of summer here at Horseshoe Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Horseshoe Lake dip into the 10's.
