Glide down the rapids of Black River in a kayak, and there's some flowing water nearby, Franklin Creek is a stream you can stop by while here. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Holloway Lake, you'll hit upon Carpenter Lake which is a striking lake, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Pine Ridge Nature Trail. People from Poplar Bluff love to come to Holloway Lake, and       Holloway Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Bullwinkle's Rustic Lodge and RV Park is a wonderful local campground. Just can't get enough of the Ozarks. Carpenters Bend is an interesting thing to distinguish since you're here at Holloway Lake, and there's some attention-grabbing stuff to make out at Holloway Lake Dam near Holloway Lake. During the long summer days highs here at Holloway Lake reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops                  down to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Holloway Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Poplar Bluff is a perfect choice, and there are other places here than Holloway Lake, for example Elbow Pond. This lake is so wonderful. The Lost Creek Nature Trail is a brilliant hiking trail next to Holloway Lake, and camping at Camelot RV Campground is always a wonderful experience. Poplar Bluff State Forest is a delightful local forest. Holloway Lake is located in the Ozarks. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Holloway Lake.
