Holiday Lake is a good spot of common rain; during May this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Oak Grove is a pleasant site to spend a night or two, and the scenery at Varner Dam       is picturesque. Camping is available at Kansas City East KOA. This lake is so wonderful. Getting to Horseshoe Creek from Holiday Lake is trouble-free, and a wonderful place to camp here at Holiday Lake is Kansas City East Campground. At Holiday Lake all through the summertime months highs are in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's.
