A visit to Hillview Lake is always a good idea. This lake is one of the great places here in the Ozarks. While you're here at Hillview Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Farmington, and Stony Point is a peak you can see from Hillview Lake. A common amount of rain falls here at Hillview Lake; March is the wettest month with most rain, and January is when it's the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Crane Lake Trail is always

| | a wonderful adventure, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Taum Sauk Creek. That right there is heaps of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Ozarks has it all. Hillview Lake Dam is worth stopping at since you're here; there is a glorious hiking trail nearby called the Trace Creek Trail. Be careful coming to the Ozarks, you might not ever want to return home again. The Taum Sauk Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close to Hillview Lake, and if
you come at the right time of year, Stouts Creek offers some good whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Wild Boar Ridge Campground is a delightful campground here. Not far from Hillview Lake, you'll stumble on Hill View Lake which
is a pretty lake; dry warm beds await you at Fort Davidson Motel & Restaurant.
All through the warmest time of the year at Hillview Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. Through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Hillview Lake.
