    If you are in this part of Missouri make sure to pay a visit to Hemitite Lake. So many cool things near Hemitite Lake, just remarkable. A great nearby hotel is Farmington - Days Inn, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Crane Lake Trail. At Hematite Lake Dam next to Hemitite Lake there are some attention-grabbing things to see; why not camp at Cherokee Landing since you're here at Hemitite Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along  
   the Silver Mine Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; if you're here, you could also stop at pretty Iron Mountain Tailings Pond.
But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Ozarks. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Taum Sauk Trail; camping is available at St Joe State Park. Throughout the summertime months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Hemitite Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter
 
               comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Hemitite Lake. Hemitite Lake is one of the lakes here in the Ozarks.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Ozarks. The top of Iron Mountain is easily observed from Hemitite Lake, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Farmington here. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Stouts Creek offers some nice whitewater; if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel Bonne Terre is a glorious choice.
Do take a look at Ozark Ore Company Lake near Hemitite Lake, it's a delightful lake, and soar down the rapids of Brewers Creek in a kayak. Hemitite Lake gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is January.

STOP the draining of our lake! there are animals dieing because of it! there was also more money spent here in north dakota when the lake was a lot fuller. come look and see what damage your stupid missouri is costing at the lake! i go there every year and more and more water is gone for what? notheing! now that there is not a lot of water left people have to find a a different place to go. they cant even keep there boats at fort stevenson because it is BONE DRY! missouri, you need to close down your falls because there is more money made here and it not fair that a NATIONAL PARK Can Not survive because of you!! there should be no reason why a NAtional park should close. also the lake was here before your stupid idea even came around. there for it is our right to protect what we have:our future,homes, and last but not least, our lake and population....
