This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Candy Cane RV Park and Campground is always a splendid experience, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Cuba. Be careful coming to the Ozarks, you might not ever want to go back home again. Lakes are such serene sites, why not stop at Keeney Lake next to Hedrick Lake, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express CUBA is a wonderful location to spend a night or two. High temperatures at Hedrick Lake during the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Hedrick Lake. The yearly rainfall here at Hedrick Lake is about average; through May this area sees the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. Tea Lakes is a 210 acre conservation area located 6 1/2 miles south of Rosebud, Mo. on Highway T. You may visit the area during the day and talk to David Jordan the area caretaker. There are 5 fishing lakes, primitive campsites, playground, MO. Native/Plants of Merit garden recognized by the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis, Mo., boy and girl scout camping areas, shelters for picnics and gatherings. There are several hiking trails, however, we are in the process of remapping these trails and some will not be usable for the summer. This is a small organization and a small membership fee is required in order to use the facilities after the initial trial/camp/visit. We welcome anyone who is conservation minded, wants a place to visit away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just enjoys the great outdoors.
