Gottman Lake is a wonderful location to visit for more than one day, Hillbillys Campground & Genera is a wonderful location to camp nearby, and lakes are such peaceful sites, why not check out Sandifer Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Hickory Bluff Trail, and a scenic lake like Monroe Lake A is       a great place to check out. Gottman Dam is a spot that is right next door to Gottman Lake, and there's great hiking along the Lick Creek Trail. Gottman Lake gets a typical amount of rain; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff near Gottman Lake. Here at Gottman Lake you'll almost certainly meet some folks from Hannibal, and if you come                  at the right time of year, North River offers some glorious whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. The Landing is a perfect campground nearby, and a perfect close by hotel is Garth Woodside Mansion BNB. During the warm days of summer at Gottman Lake highs are mostly in the 80's while overnight lows are commonly in the 60's.
