Gottman Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month of the year is February. You don’t have to go far from Gottman Lake to observe the water at Gottman Dam, and hiking along the Hickory Bluff Trail is nice fun. Summertime highs at Gottman Lake typically tend to be in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in       the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Gottman Lake fall into the 10's. Get soaked paddling on North River, and needless to say, this is a pleasant neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Sandifer Lake is a lake close at hand.
