I was born and lived on the St.Joseph Millionaires Hunting club near Amozonia, Missouri where Garlich and Sollars lake were located. The hunting and fishing were great in the 1930's to 1940's. The lakes are no longer there and the lakes are now farm land.

Garlich Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. Paradise Lake Dam is a scenic location next to Garlich Lake, and Dillon Creek is close to Garlich Lake and is always a bliss to stop at. Ramada Inn - St. Joseph is a tremendous location to get some rest, and Walnut Grove Campground is a pleasant campground nearby. The yearly precipitation here at Garlich Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is September,

| | and January is the month with the least moisture.
So much exciting stuff close to Garlich Lake, just mind-boggling. During your tour to Garlich Lake you'll meet some folks from St. Joseph for sure, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Snow Creek. If you need a site to stay Holiday Inn St. Joseph Riverfront/Hist. is a great choice, and AOK Campground is a splendid local campground.

course is Savannah City Golf Course; Paradise Lake is a good lake nearby. For the period of the warm months, highs generally are in the 80's at Garlich Lake. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Garlich Lake are in the 10's.
