Why not camp at Country View Acres Campground since you're here at Emerald Lake; nearby you come across great places like Hickory Hollow. Yep, outdoors cool things truly is bountiful here in the Ozarks. Hiking along the Blossom Rock Trail is tremendous fun; a nice close by hotel is Days Inn St. Robert Waynesville/Ft. Leonard Wood. This lake is so wonderful. The Ozarks scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to encounter some smiling

Lakes are tremendous; Cardin Lake is a lake that's close to Emerald Lake, and if you need a site to stay Best Western Montis Inn is a nice choice. Emerald Lake is a good place of typical rainfall; through May this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Emerald Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. There's no way
somebody can get bored here in the Ozarks. Boiling Spring Campground, LLC is a great local campground; Emerald Lake is right by the Kaintuck Trail.

Arlington River Resort

Kaintuck Trail
 | ...rough which light doesn't travel because of a bend in the tunnel. Follow the trail around the hill and you will find the other opening. Next time I will bring a flashlight so that I can explore a little.
The trails are popular with horseback riders and are as wide as sidewalks most of the time. In most places and the footing is good. A small percentage of the trail is made up of loose rock that can be bad for a weak ankle.
My only complaint is that the map I have is not accurate and the markers on the trees don't lend much confidence. Today I wound up walking an extra two hours because of a wrong turn. Looking at the Internet maps, I still can't find the path I was walking or the fenced meadows. In one spot the trail went through a chained gate. I didn't know if I would be trespassing so I turned right, followed a path around the field and found myself on some dirt road that is not marked. Maybe the next time the park service is out clearing fallen trees or doing their controlled burns they can tack up a few more trail signs, especially where the trail forks or... |

 | 16 miles away I don't see any ATV Trails. Are there any in the Pulaski area? I will be moving to MO in July and I love outdoors events.... |
