Here at Elliot Lake there are plenty of people from Joplin, and Elliot Lake is a magnificent site to camp, Big Barn RV Park is a magnificent site. For the duration of the warm months here at Elliot Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's; night lows through the wintertime for Elliot Lake tend to be in the 10's.       This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Shoal Creek; after a long day outdoors Best Value Hallmark Inn-Joplin is a great spot to spend a night or two. Joplin KOA is a great campground here; there's some flowing water nearby, Blackberry Creek is a stream you can pop by while you're here. Elliot Lake Dam is worth going to since you're here, and dry warm beds await you at Best Value Hallmark Inn.
