After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Pittsburg is a perfect site to spend a night or two; you'll stumble on a delightful lake called Elliot Lake. Doran Lake is a relatively wet place regularly with a large amount of rainfall; June is when you get the most rain here, and January on the other hand is the driest. All through the summertime at Doran Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 90's, and through       summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Doran Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. Get covered with water paddling on Shoal Creek. Blackberry Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting, and you can stay the night at Joplin KOA KAMP Ground. There's so much to do here at Doran Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Joplin KOA Campground is a great                  spot for that, and if you're here and you like golf, you can have a look at Briarbrook Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Very pleasant water scenery is available at Doran Lake Dam near Doran Lake; a nice close by hotel is Drury Inn Joplin. All the outdoors cool stuff next to Doran Lake will keep you coming back many times.
