The beauty of Crane Lake is reason enough to stop by. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things truly is bountiful here in the Ozarks. All the outdoors fun stuff right next door to Crane Lake will keep you coming back over and over. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Big Creek, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Silver Mine Trail. At Crane Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Crane Lake temperatures sink to the 20's. Lots of rain falls at Crane Lake; through March this area sees the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. | |

This lake is so wonderful. There's perfect hiking along the Crane Lake Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Crane Pond Creek offers some great whitewater.
Crane Lake is located in the Ozarks. The Taum Sauk Trail offers
hiking at its best, and you can stay the night at Sam A Baker State Park. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Ozarks. Crane Lake is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Big Creek RV Park is a perfect place to camp nearby, and naturally, A tour to White Hollow is always fun.
